Who was Sam Phillips

Sam Phillips was born Samuel Cornelius Phillips (05 January 1923 – 30 July 2003), in Florence, Alabama. Sam was an American, music jockey, songwriter, and record producer. His expedition constituted a huge immersion of the rise of Rock and Roll, Blues, and Country, amongst other genres of music, while producing iconic artists, like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis amongst other great artists.

Mr. Phillips has paved the road for future generations of artists and is still a prodigy and a legend, that employed a solid knowledge base in the world of music. He is credited in the breaking down barricades for the music world to be able to adapt and foster the collaborative approbation, and admiration, of racial barriers that existed in the commerce of music, while endorsing a blend of country, blues, that in turn defined the early intro of Rock and Roll.

Sam Phillips was an ionic symbol in music commerce, whose inspiration continues to resonate today through the modernization, and revolution of music productions and recordings.

Sam Phillips is my cousin, as it stands, he was my grandmother’s first cousin. Did I know him, yes, and will revel this story time within this site….
